Our Muses, Are They These Winged Friends In Disguise?

We never intend to be preachy or too cliche. We just write with our own mind and thoughts. As you can see we just go with the flow. Did we make research? Just a bit, and we could've finished this hub overnight, but we went to bed...

This morning, the words came to us like 'butter,' Felt as though your old good friend comes to you and says, "I got a better idea for that title, just relax and write." And I began to write randomly. Is inspiration a gift? Maybe is just our father and those winged friends checking with us? What are muses for us? How come some nights we go through that writer's block?

Angels among us?

On the night of March 8, 2009 on our way to Newark Penn Station (well known-Train station in New Jersey), we were assaulted by two guys; we don't even want to mention races in here, because the world is so wicked, is just pathetic! The guys got some money from us, and when we were about to pass to 'a better life' the way they were talking between them, two cars passed by and literally made them leave us alone. Who were they? Did we borrow more time to be in here, on earth?

A Heavenly hand?

On December 31st, 1993 my ex-wife was giving birth to our first son at Trinitas Hospital, here in northern New Jersey. She was intervene around 9 a.m. The baby wanted out 6 weeks before the due date. Most likely was, as we see it now, that high blood pressure from mom. It was already late, probably 2 a.m. on the first hours of 1994 when something strange happened:d

She have had our baby through C-section intervention. Her stitches were fine but the block anesthesia was already acting up and probably her epidural anesthesia was giving up. Or maybe the autodosage depleted, who knows. The thing is that she was feeling those seven layers of pain on her whole body. She called a nurse squeezing a hand held emergency alert beeper. She waited for 25 minutes or so, and heard (still pissed myself writing about it) the nurses talking and 'playing' by the dispatch desk on the Ob-gyn 5th Floor. Seem that they knew about her pain, but didn't even mind to come 'on time.'

When less expected a nurse came back. She took care of everything, and gave 'mommy' her comfort. They even prayed for our baby who was born premature (he was due for February 15, 1994)

Our mind walking along...

Three rooms away was our 'preemie' baby on an incubator face down sleeping, but we know in our heart he felt something... as though things were happening for a reason. This nurse left my wife well taken care of. The next morning I came back with balloons, roses and a blue teddy bear.

Overnight, had to return home -- my 8 years old step son had to be fed and taken care of. To make this story short: I wanted to thank that nurse for her 'help,' but doctors and regular turn shift obstetricians didn't know who we were talking about. There was not such a person with that description. Probably that was a new year gift with the 'tax break' rubbed in our face by our coworker friends.

Spirits? Angels? The messengers from above?

We have had our hard times, and when we less expected it, we've gotten that lending hand. We are sometimes like Thomas, we refuse to believe without direct and physical proof. But how can you proof God without faith? We took Science, and in a way walked away from a rational spirituality. But like that prodigal son, we had to come back... not on bending knee, but accepting that the Creator is up there.

Inspiration to write

Writing is essential to us. We get the words and... no matter what; even if we forget that semi-colon for the 'experts,' we just let the words flow... like we said it from the start. Do we have our muses? Sure! Some are funny and get us in trouble sometimes; the others just dance around us, with a sign in their hands, "forget about the AdSense pal!" Are they angels? We cannot say for sure, but they are out there. By the way, they handed me this video. Take those 3 minutes of fun and get inspired as well...
