Knocking your door and I

see you for the first time

Seven months for this final moment

to see you completely as you are

you tell me to come in and I myself

shy enough, just comply

Parents of yours shake my hand and

leave us alone in this cold night

want to walk outside so we can talk

your jeans and pink blouse contrast

with those Carmine lips

that are there for me to eventually kiss

holding hands for the first time

awkwardly walking and almost getting ran over

so much to say and so much to discover

she knows, I'm just this new kind of lover

I make my move and take a rose hidden in my raincoat

"for you as always promised you Anne Marie"

she open her eyes and hugs me so hard that I drop my keys

we made it to a park

where we seat and start our talk

nervous enough... I kiss her forehead

and slowly a second kiss on her cheeks

ending as a champion down her lips

her heart beats next to me like i never felt before

was this meant to be... this great my friend?

the day and night ended before long

said goodbye and left her by her door

3 days later came to see her and she was gone

no way, what have I done so wrong?

She and parents came in town for a week and that was a hotel room

No signs of her, just the maid changing sheets and droppin her broom

she was gone for good without saying good bye

was so close to the address of this thing called love

that now sadly left me shattered ans with no hope

felt empty and with my heart broken cursed at times the one you know

Left town, left school and left a complete life behind

took me 12 years to find her again

I knew she was somewhere and... needed to find out why?

why she left me with this pain and wondering always...

was anything wrong with my mind?

this time she was a single mom of two kids

her husband of 12 years left her too, same way as she did

She was sorry and told ... broke down the truth

her soon to be ex, was richer and I was just a simple dude

she thought she did her best by marrying him first

parents didn't approve of me, so they just left

that day, 13 years before, all changed in my life

but now I was set free after she explained all to me

this crude true that actually set my mind and my inner needs

was this easy to forget and forgive

but the days went by and I did really change...and was never the same

Sadly she had problems and I did save her from falling deeper

but this was not a happy ending or just a teaser

we stayed friends and always a call away

we knew our love died the minute she walked out the door

that door that was slammed against my love

and never stopped from hurting all along...

maybe time will decide and all will be fine

until then we read these lines

and she really cried and asked me to forgive
