These are the scenarios...

  • Supposedly you have lost a job and you just paid your rent today. Last month your case worker denied you food stamps assistance. You luckily found a ten dollar bill in one of your pants, and almost lost it because you were double checking your garments before they straight into the washer machine.
  • Or maybe you have a job, but you are making ends meet since your boss secretly came to an agreement with your own union, and reduced your salary by 12%, just to save your company (and their trip to Baja California) some extra cash. Either way, you bumped into those ten bucks in between an old book... or that Phone directory.
  • How about this one? You were divorced for 12 years and never paid child support; arguing that you never got a job, knowing that you were being paid cash for painting or cutting some people's front lawn. As we said before, you just got this unexpected 10 dollar bill from that corner store as a change.

How can we move this mountain in our favor?

The dollar store miracle

You can take pictures of some seasonal items like jewelry, glassware or a pair of knit Nat's. Then you can sell them for those $ 2.99 and keep coming for extra supplies. You can sell them outside that welfare office compound, but beware of the security. Nice people will buy your story.

If you want to be bolder make a bunch of those business cards from the net and walk to the best areas in town; drop in their mailbox your sale of the day-- we just pictured the best attitude from you. You want to expand those 10 dollars at all cost.

Buying from Salvation army and reselling

From clothing to furniture, back to some knit nats, the thrift store can really have some deals for a couple of bucks. How about those teddy bears for 99 cents? once again you can sell them on a corner keeping your trunk open for the day.

Create your own art and give it to the world

Maybe poetry? What is your best asset? Just choose. How about a Quick recipe for a buck printed out. People might love your jokes, just sell yourself. Well, don't sell your soul that easy. You might know some apps that you can recommend for our IPads. You probably are a geek that can take that virus away from our Windows 7 laptop. You never know..!

Is spring time...!

Time to offer your service for mowing the lawn, or perhaps have a garage sale. For three bucks you can buy a marker and start selling your junk. Painting is also a good money maker. Lots of seniors might need your help for grocery shopping. Re do the business card as you grow : Handy man, ready to help and such...
