Issac Asimov--The Genius Behind The Man

Issac Asimov, was born in Russia in 1920, January 2, to be certain. But there is discrepancy on the dates. Some say he was born 3 months before that, which makes him a Sag or a Scorpio. Parents made an smart move, brought the kid to America when he was 3 years old. He never learned to speak Russian because his family would Jump back and forth from Yiddish to English.

WHY HE WAS..OR DID HE BECOME A GENIUS?

Nothing different from those 2% of inspiration and 98% of perspiration. The kid was an avid reader of Pulp fiction magazines, meaning daydreaming with Flash Gordon, Mark twain, H. G. Wells and a myriad of writers that changed his life. We are close to think that he had some autistic traces. Why? He taught himself to read and from then on, he was on his way to be someone. A very talented writer who used to type faster than anyone. What we found out and it's not in any book, for sure... is that his talent was a product of several factors. His childhood in Brooklyn, his imagination and his inquiring mind to dissect Science on his own way. Parents were Yiddish millers from Petrovichi in the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic near the modern border with Belarus.

A Biochemist professor at Boston University, Assimov saw the opportunity to more money by writing fiction and non-fiction. At one point he started to see Computers like the extension of his neurons connecting his fingers with his creativity, just like us. But still, we are not even convinced by what we read about him. Why did he become an Iconic Author? We ventured ourselves in affirming that he was happy with what he loved. His mind was set to create stories from this world, tomorrow's world and beyond.

He made good friends with Orson Wells to and was an important consultant to Gene Roddenberry, would argue with him about different topics regarding the script of the weekly episode of Star Trek. He did write trilogies and Non-fictional work, but instead of just creating another Biography, Wikipedia style, let's ask the man and get true answers from him:

How did you start to write these novels Isaac?

When I was 4, I started to... I wanted to read those Pulps that my Paps hated, which had explendid graphics next to the written words.... My mind wanted so bad to read those words, and in less than a year later, I had taught myself how to read!

You said once is better to make Mistakes and then...

I know, I remember What I said: Is better to think..or better, put it this way, a subtle thought that is already in error, might yet give rise to fruitful inquiry that can produce truths of great values..You understand my point? Wanna make sure you understand..!

Sure, You have very deep thoughts that have to be broken down to us...We are just honest! Let's jump to this topic: Believe in yourself and not others! What can you tell us Isaac?

My own belief is that people will take you at you own reckon. If you think you are a failure, your own world will create a negative Karma. I know I cannot deny my origins, but that makes me stronger and willing to go the extra mile.

Interesting Sir! Do you think you are famous because of your books or your persona?

Now you are making sense Joseph. When they Bombarded London in 1940. So many treasures from the past were killed. I avoided to get involved in the development of the Nuclear bomb in 1945 and I Never was happy with Hiroshima and Nagasaki...

Can you asnwer my question Issac?

Oh, yes. I wanted to tell you this: Dalton's records were destroyed after the Bombing of Liverpool and Manchester back in 1940. It is not only the living who are killed in war... I'm physically dead since 1992, but my memory and thoughts abruptly can come alive stronger than ever! I was pleased to know that my writings overcame my own being, and that was my reward for eternity.

How can you categorize writers, like you and me for instance?

For my own observation, they fall in two categories: The ones that hate criticism and whine about it in your face...and the ones that hate negative comments, but whine behind your face, period.

You are funny Issac. You just keep amazing our lives with your savvy mind, but, do you read as fast as you write?

In a few words, I'm not a speed reader, I'm just a speed understander...You know what I'm trying to say?

Thank God I did research before this interview, and I got your point. Do you believe in Hell, or heaven?

Great question Joseph. I don't believe in hell or the Afterlife. Heaven would be too boring for my kind of thinking. Can you imagine perfection in your eyes and not even able to blink with a doubt? The boredom of heaven would be worse...for me anyway!

Why do you write... I mean, why did you write?

For the same reason I breathe. I wouldn't be able to live without any of them. A simple answer to a simple question!

You always mentioned that change was the key factor to save our race, what did you mean by that?

We all know that the Sun will die one day, and change is crucial for our own salvation. We don't think about what will be of us tomorrow, but also we worry... hum! about the world of the future. We take this accountability as a correlated and linked fact per se.

Why are we so hypocritical as society?

We tend to make our peers happy, and in that perspective we just follow the rules set by our parents and families. We allow our past to rule our decisions with surprising consequences. In other words, we get our sense of morals get in the way of doing what is right!

Are computers taking over or not yet!

We will be governed by then..but part of its inhumanity is that, once programmed, they can be too honest. You know what I mean?

Yeah! right! We are such a bunch of liars and we cannot be honest with ourselves. How about snobbism and know it all dudes?

These people are a truly annoyance, and get in our ways. They basically raise their voice, and as they get louder, We could barely understand what they really want to communicate. Don't want to talk about politics..and you know what I mean!

Ops! In election year, they are louder than ever, right!

What is your legacy as a Science fiction writer?

As fictional writers, we foresee the future in our own minds. Cathastrophes and problems are inevitable, but solutions are not. My legacy is there to be taken into account. I wrote about many things and I gave honest answers... like in this Interview...!
