Our Faith In 'Faith Reaper'

"Dear Father almighty, give us the wisdom to write a hub that will touch so many souls."-- Joseph De Cross.



This Hub is dedicated to Faith Reaper a Hub friend whom we met 3 months ago. At first we were attracted by her poetry and then captivated by her particular signature, 'In His Love.'

What really got us closer to her?... and why we worried about Faith like a sister in Christ? We think, and we believe, that there are hidden celestial plans deep in our hearts; we are just making a big difference in our writing community by becoming closer and closer to each one. We support our fellow writers on ways that sometimes we don't even mention. We have a great legion of mothers and daughters from every walk of life that sign in every day, just to get in contact with the world... and with his/ her humanity, by sharing knowledge and diversity. 

We know first hand that it really works. Cerebral studies have concluded that a miracle really happens inside our gray matter. Some specialists concluded that.. anxiety, stress, depression, schizophrenia, and even epilepsy bouts can be diminished by just praying... So if some fellow Hubbers have been praying for us, we were receiving blessing without even asking for them. How valuable is that? Can you imagine Debbie Brooks, next to Gypsy Rose Lee and being joined by beloved Faith reaper and Dave Mathew?

"For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Mathew 18:20

She wrote her last hub on May 27th and we were thinking, that was already a month and counting. She would come back to pay visit and comment on her hubs. What was going on? Let's hear from her... in her own words:

"Hi sweet lord de cross, I have been taking a break from hubbing, obviously. After my surgery, which went well and I was doing great, but then after about the fourth week, one Sunday it was very painful for me to take deep breaths and I had sharp stabbing pains in my left ribs.

I thought I had a pinched nerve, but I went to the ER and they did a CT Scan and found very large blood clots in both my lungs. They were worse in my left lung. So, I had to give myself shots in my stomach of blood thinner and take blood thinner by mouth too. I just started back to work this week.

So (taking a deep breath) , since I am still here, I know the Lord has plans for me and I may not have a tomorrow (just as everyone else), so I need to get back to glorifying Him while I am still here, as I have plenty of "boasting in the Lord" stories to tell yet.

The blood clots should absord into my body in several weeks or a couple of months. They are deadly and could move to my brain and I could have a stroke or worse, but whatever the Lord has planned for me is just fine with me; either way it is a win-win for me. I will try to get back to hubbing. I have missed everyone and love you all!! In His Love, Faith Reaper."

Not that we are preachy enough to kneel down and pray for our lives to the one above, but Faith Reaper is already a cancer survivor and... has shown so much strength against adversity. Let's hear about her Faith and her convictions and priorities in life:

"I have faced many trials and tribulations (kissing her daughter and son) in my lifetime, as we all do, but what I desire to do most is glorify Him and not myself. For the most part, I am a non-fiction writer. Last year, the Lord healed me of breast cancer, plain and simple, no doubt (see "Perfect Love Casts Out Fear"). One problem I have is that... I have to drive an hour to and from work daily, and so I must find the time to write. I am looking forward to much feedback.

(While playing with her 2 grandkids) I love serving and worshiping the Lord. I once witnessed a miracle of the Lord while serving in a women's prison ministry (see "The Least of These"). I also saw the face of Jesus while serving the Lord in a personal ministry to the homeless or downtrodden ...(tears)"

Trying to challenge our 'Saint Thomas' kind of attitude, Faith wrote a powerful piece. We love numbers and we are very pragmatic. But she told us in her hub (The sweetest five little words in red) about how the Lord woke her up at 5:36 every morning for three weeks....One morning she opened her Bible and it fell open to Mark 5:36 - "Don't be afraid, just believe."

On a trillion times there is no way that Mark 5:36 could be opened at once on that paragraph. Faith, Science(statistics) and love can only lead us to a powerful person... who could've be guiding our writing as well...scary enough..!

"Have return to work slowly, and I want to thank my followers for their concerns! I am doing well now. The blood clots are still in my lungs, but the blood thinner helps to prevent them from getting worse or more... from forming. It will take several weeks or a couple of months for my body to absorb them. God bless. In His Love Faith Reaper."

Just to let you know... from the beginning of the hub, we asked for guidance from above, and we think we were heard; the final words were a plea: The plea from a soul like yours. Seems that our prayers have been heard! Here is a direct E-mail from Faith Reaper:

"Thank you sweet Joseph (lord de cross). You are precious. I know the blood clots are no longer there, as He has heard all the prayers and answered. I will ask my doctor when I can have another CT Scan to see. I know suffering is the pathway to glory, as you and everyone else here on hubpages have glorified Him by your LOVE, for without love - nothing. I love you all. Life begins today. Amazing Grace how sweet the sound!!!
