Alexis and Bertha are done with church service. We just found out that they were going to get married in two weeks (they don't even warn the writer!). Did she have time to tell Ryan? Nope! Bertha's parents drove and parked themselves for the next service Near Alexis' car. Bertha's parents missed the early service. Alexis and Bertha are is heading to his Citroen C5 turbo.

Three, two, one, Action!

Alex heard a deep whistling sound inside his ears. A shadowy and slightly "invisible energy" passed Bertha and him by. Was something bad going to happen?

Same Time

Downtown Mall

Spanning across from the central Garden, we noticed a couple walking through this mall. It was Ryan and Sasha Shapova, a stunning Russian descendant female "friend," who he was going out with, after Bertha broke his heart 12 weeks ago.--They don't even have the decency to warn Joseph De Cross.

In a couple of weeks he will be leaving for Afghanistan for a classified "decompressing" tour. His communications skills and IT Networking served him well since his days at the AFB in Colorado Springs. He was selected to join a team. Not team 6 for sure.

"Ryan, I know you don't want to talk about these things, but would you want to go with me to London this weekend? Is July 2nd, and we will have two days off. I will get us both a pair of plane tickets. The price tag goes on me, deal!?"

That was Sasha, who in a way wanted to settle her heart with Ryan. Well, women do not tell us that! She had to make her move anyway.

Silence; 3, 2,1.. Action! Roll it!

Alex was driving for five minutes with his girlfriend, and felt as though someone was following him. Not only one, but two black 4X4 SUV Peugeot 4008 were following Surgeon Alexis Bradisnova.

He decided to make a right turn on the alley shown in the picture. On the other end of the alley a white RCZ Peugeot, blocked Bertha and Alex. There was no doubt: they have been ambushed... Oh my!

The black SUV parked behind him and immediately got into action: they took Alexis out of his car with no mercy at all. Bertha panicked and covered her face, shaking and crying. This was so unreal.. within the longest second, she heard two bullets! They shot her boyfriend's head execution style. A mafia group? Nope! Long story:

A well-to-do family hired these thugs and ended Alexis' life; he wasn't careful a year ago and let a well known patient die. It was the Patriarch of that powerful family. They fled, but left Bertha alive! Was her guardian angel with her?

Sasha and Ryan were done with their activities at their barracks, and were about to head themselves to London. Sasha was coming to pick up Ryan anytime soon. Her almost see through pink miniskirt was going to do wonders today. The tickets were bought and they got a fair discount for being at the Air Force.

Unfolding events...

Bertha was released from the Hospital and headed to her parent's home. She started writing like a zombie, maybe for the last time..? on Ryan's FB wall.

"My boyfriend was killed 9 hours ago. Parents are devastated. Police asked me so many questions You... please bear with me. I don't know how to ask you for forgiveness. I broke your heart two times. But for the first time I'm going to tell you this: My heart was broken twice as well. My parents wanted me to marry my own... and I complied, but my heart always belonged to you..."

Bryan and ourselves were in tears too. He was in shock. Suddenly, Sasha knocked his door. She was ready. She knew he was going to be hers soon.... soon? "Ready Ryan? London is waiting 'hun' you know that..!"

Cut! wrap it for the day...!

Bryan opened the door and ran as far as he could to his Nissan-Altima that he shipped from Colorado. Sasha was coming his way and didn't have time to stop him: "Ryan, wait! What happened?"

"Sorry, Sasha. Got an emergency. Will explain when I come back!"

"You! You are such an asshole! This is not fair. Idiot!"

On his cell Bryan was confirming his flight to Prague... and not to London. He was driving like nuts to the International Airport near Cologne. His heart was taking him back in time as though he was 16 again. His first kiss, the tree carved with their I love you's all were in his mind.

He was crying like a kid. Feeling that lump stuck in his neck on and off. All he knew was.. he wanted to see Bertha. His career, his ambitions and his hopes didn't amount to what he felt for Bertha.

Ryan made it to Prague in a 45 minutes flight. Bertha told him to meet her at the famous Charles Bridge (why women do ti so romantic?). Ryan told the Taxi driver to park near the bridge. Bertha was on the other side and didn't know he was getting closer to her. And yes, they felt something. Her heart started to beat harder because she heard her name: "Bertha!!"

One more time! It was Ryan running to her from the other end. They were living and breathing like never before. Both knew this time was for them to find each other all over again. Luckily it was on the same day she left with her parents the U.S. July, 3rd. (Not even the author knew this!)

While running to each other, we began to see their lives in sequences...

• The first time they met at high school
• The day she taught him how to say, "I love you" in Czech.
• The first time they kissed behind the tree and swore to love each other forever and ever.
• And the day they had to let each other go... 9 years ago.

Finally they reached each other arms and got into the sweetest embrace.They didn't say a word. She knew what he was thinking, and that was enough for him. Finally, on a sunny afternoon, they kissed again.... and again!

A street vendor approached them and gave them a CD. "From Lord De Cross; is free for you both." They didn't care much, they began to walk into a future as one. Finally, both got lost between people and that misty afternoon.
