An Everyday Battle...

What is a mom capable of? What made them have babies? Who decided to make them get pregnant and not us?

Do you hear me guys? Hey Franky! Come on! Why are you looking the other way? Here! put that cigarette down and listen to this one:

One morning this mother called Laura woke up 'legally blonde' and almost single. She just got hold of an e-mail from hubby: "I'm tired of living with you, and not getting anywhere...I'm leaving with your best friend: Lilian. I don't want to hit you anymore, so is better leave it like this. Just get your lawyer, and I don't care... I will sign the papers..."

That was Ralph, who was man, enough...? To tell her that their marriage was over, through an email. We guess, suspect, infer that Lilian was behind all this cold farewell.

Laura just got laid off from her one and only Job, as a Marketing consultant. Her precious Princess 'Dianna,' was named after lady D. Little D. was already 7 and doing great until she had to leave her cloud nine, courtesy of Dad. She already have left for school at 'James Buchanan's' and found out later that her 'daddy' in shining armor left her, and her mom literally, almost on the streets.

Back to Work and Laid Off Again

The next morning Laura got a phone call from a 'dollar store retailer,' who was willing to give her a temporary job, until someone would get back from a disability leave. Her Mother, Frances, was already 62, and had had asthma since her early 40's. Even though Dianna was a little older, it was kind of hard to take of her. But she did agree with her daughter, "I will help you until you get yourself together and find a real job." grandma said.

Laura knew that sooner or later she was going to be laid off again and prayed hard for ideas. One night she was on her bed thinking of realistic ideas to bring extra money for the house, and maybe help her mother, and pay her back.

On that night, her Lap top did something weird. It rebooted itself and showed an adobe photo-shop link. Seemed that some programs updated themselves and some 'pop ups' were saved for later.

She was still up, due to her long 8 hours at that dollar store. Insomnia was her problem since she was a little girl. She restlessly started to check tutorials and thought of trying herself this tool. Just like her playful little girl with a new toy, she started posting cropped pics of her face and added them to her timeline at FB.

The next day, she woke up with an idea: She remembered seeing frames for pictures and photos for a dollar. She had a digital camera that barely was used from her ex job. She started driving around and taking pictures of threes, couples kissing, birds, deers in front of her, and that western Pennsylvania bear that Tammy Swallow told us about. He ran like a puppy next to her on the Turnpike. She didn't know that she ran over a Sicilian Pizza pie and this 'big puppy' was playing with her.

Tips from that beggar...

  • Three consecutive scratch off cards close the odds of winning
  • There is a chance of 3.5 to 1 to win

Her Idea

"I work at this dollar store to get 285 dollars a week. This is nothing and my daughter's graduation is coming next June. I already have these wonderful pics. That pharmacist still can print my pictures from my own extended memory or USB. Oh Gosh! these ideas keep pouring. To avoid suspicion, I will have to buy those frames from that dollar 'oak' store. Oh gee! I can use my own daughter as a model and offer my service for graduation Parties pics.

Laura decided to thank this almost divine intervention and went to buy some candles. At a convenience store parking lot, she bumps into this beggar, who greets her with a sweet smile. He asks for some change for a cup of coffee and she gives him a dollar. "Bless you ma'am. God will give it back to you, tenfold... Lord have mercy!!" and he disappeared.

Automatically a five single buck falls on her feet from nowhere, and she picks it up. " Finders keepers!" Seeing herself so many people buying scratch off lotto cards. She makes up her mind and buy a handful of cards for a dollar. "What the heck! This five bucks were free anyway," she admits.

She starts scratching off, one card after another. On another side of the city her ex hubby is being arrested for beaten a School Bus driver. The day before, his girlfriend's daughter fell from the bus, and the driver never reported it because he was drunk. Sorry man!

The Indian manager that was checking her scratch off said with his own peculiar accent, "Good! 'behry' good lady, you got a winner: Did you read the results on the screen? "

"Oh yeah! now I feel like Ardie..!"

"$30,000 winner -- see manager for details to fill out your claim, and form 1099 -- Congratulations!"

That was enough for Laura to start her own business in the portrait studio idea.

BUT THE BEGGAR SAID TENFOLD...

I JUST NEED 99 CENTS, MA'AM..!

The next morning she was driving to work, and a car behind her was certainly... ahem! in a hurry. Laura moved herself to her left, and she saw this handsome guy that passed her by and saw him speeding up.

Suddenly, she saw him hitting another USV on the nearest intersection. This guy actually saved her life by colliding first against this drunk driver. She slowed down and stopped.

She was shaking an almost in tears. Trembling but composing herself, got closer and saw his face bleeding inside the car. Gas fuel liquid lines started to show on the back tire. In a split of a second she saw that same beggar across the street, who made the sign of the cross and disappeared again.

The other guy ran off with no much care. She instinctively broke his driver side window, and pulled him off unconscious... and probably dead. How did she get that strength? His blood was all over her fingers...!

She checked his vital signs and applied CPR. at once. Ambulance and EMS arrived 3 minutes later. The car was a total loss and practically in flames. Police and paramedics moved them away, because a bigger explosion was expected... any minute!

The next day she was on the news and got a 'Thank You' note from the guy's father:

"My son caught his wife cheating and wasn't thinking yesterday. I couldn't stop him and he left my office furious. You were brave enough to give him a second chance. And please... As a thankful gift, accept this 150,000 dollars check from my 401k savings. Money is nothing for me anymore. My only son has been saved... and probably he would love... to see you.

Regards, Gillman Trousseaux, CEO Global Fuels International Oil Company."
